I was recently approached about writing a guest article for NFReads.com, and I had to really take some time to think about just what I would say. I knew that I would want to talk about my journey into writing, but I wasn’t sure just how I wanted to do it.

I felt like I’d beaten to death the “I’m a veteran, but I’m also an author,” so I thought instead I’d give some insight into just how my experiences shaped me and my writing.
