After a 3 months and countless sessions spent writing in a bunk bed overseas, I’ve finally done it: I’ve typed the words “THE END” in my Aztec-inspired Fantasy, Dreams of Blood and Shadow. Sitting at 89,000 words, 73 chapters, and an epilogue, this book feels like the best thing I’ve ever written.
Now for the fun part.
If you’d like to sign up to be an alpha or beta reader, you can do so HERE!
In the meantime, here is what the future will look like — at least how it pertains to this book. I am going to go back and HEAVILY edit this first draft while I wait for people to sign up to alpha/beta read. After that, I’ll send out the first blast of the book asking for feedback in a specific time frame (4-6 weeks). Then, after all the Alpha readers have submitted their input to me, I’ll send it out to Beta readers, with a hard cap on feedback (typically 2-4 weeks).
After this will come the real terrifying part, which is submitting my manuscript for publication.
Alpha and beta readers are a crucial part of that process, and I can’t overstate its importance.
As always, please sign up for my newsletter to keep yourself in the loop.
