We are closing in on 2023, and I am closing in on my goal to finish book 3 by the end of the month.

With 1,970 words written tonight, I’ve written the heartbreaking and emotional (for me) crescendo to the story. It’s taken a lot out of me, but I’m ultimately happy because it means I’m nearly finished.

All that’s left are some “goodbye” chapters (think the ending of Return of the King, but with fewer hobbits) and an ending. After that, well, I think you know where we go from there.

I’m going to do my very best to finish by the end of the month. Wish me luck!
