One of the highlights of my professional career has been working with Ken Jennings, who knows a thing or two about writing books (The Serving Leader has been the gold standard for organizations looking to achieve greatness). He also knows a thing or two about looking good in a suit, as seen below.
But, most importantly, he knows a thing or two about me, since he’s my Dad. And now that House on Fire is out on Kindle (hitting shelves December 17th), I can officially say that I know a thing or two about working with a bestselling author — which was nice because it gave me the chance to find out how authors like Tom Clancy and David Baldacci do things, as I had to get in touch with the Department of Defense to get my passages approved.
I had to do this because I was writing about combat scenes based loosely on my own experience, but even though they were fictional it didn’t matter — the DoD had to give their seal of approval to make sure I wasn’t spilling state secrets (looking at you, Navy SEALs).
So if you’re in the market for “a tale of leadership in a class of its own,” look no further than House on Fire!
